Hi,

We looked at some of the houses in mabel street , leslie avenue , rushmore avenue. We liked them but from some of the forums I hear
good and bad things about piscataway. Howz the neighbourhood.
Is there any indian community? How about schools?

Arbour elemntary , quibbletown and piscataway high school standards.
Where can I ge tinformation about crime rate , neighbourhood of locality?
Somebosy told me that resale value is less in this region beacuse of school district when compared to north edison. Is school distrcit better than
south edison, woodbridge , iselin and avenel?

Please help me in proving the information. I am confused. My husband
work in city and I work in south jersey.

thanks

I work in Piscataway. It's got some nice areas but it's also got some bad areas. The school system isn't the best. It has a lot of kids who are from the rough side of town that have little respect for authority. You might want to consider Edison rather than Piscataway.

Hi,

In edison the houses are very old atleast 15years old. In piscataway
we are able to get a house for $320k which is 2-4 yrs old. Currenlty
I don't have kids but I was thinking if we plan to sell the house after 4years will it be sold easily or not. Some people are particular about school district.

Thanks

if you are planning on selling a house after 4 years, you shouldn't be buying it. In this market, housing prices run the risk of declining in value and you may find that you've not only spent a bunch of money in taxes, interest, and upkeep, but whatever down payment you put down and equity you thought you paid off is gone.

I live in Piscataway. Those streets are in the Arbor section, I'd avoid it. The part of P'way that border Plainfield and Dunellen (the Arbor section is the former) are really the only parts to avoid. The rest of P'way is nice.

And yes... there are tons of desis here.

Click here (http://www.piscatawaynj.org/documents/maps-to-download/PiscStreetMap.pdf - broken link) for a street map of P'way so you know which sections border Plainfield and/or Dunellen.

You would like piscataway and I think yes there is an Indian population and yes you should stay away from the dunellen piscataway border.

You might also try woodbride, Great schools safe environment and the homes are on nice streets.

You can get demographics info right here on city-data.

Woodbridge or edison would be a better investment-

More better schools makes better home values.
