Hi everyone, I'm hoping I can get some help with wedding sites. I would like to get married in the fall somewhere in either north or central NJ. This seems easy except that I'm not looking for the typical wedding place or banquet halls.
I would like to try to find a historic place or anything that has the rustic feel to it. I've checked out a few places but I haven't been able to find anythign that I like. I was hoping maybe some one would know of a place that you can't find in any internet search. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks!

Here are two totally different ideas:
1) Silas Condict County Park in Kinnelon has a wonderful pavilion and a small lake. Get married on the cliff overlooking the lake and have the reception in the pavilion. They also have an indoor facility on the premises.
2) There's a small but gorgeous chapel in West Milford. I think it's on the premises of Camp Gilgal. I haven't been there in 25 years, but I'll always remember the place as being a beautiful display of humankind's ability to beautify the gifts that nature gives us. Rustic made beautiful!
I just went to a wedding there. The place getting is totally run down. Peeling wallpaper, cracked tiles in the bathroom kind of stuff. A bit too rustic maybe.

No kidding. I was there about 5 years ago for a wedding and it was really nice. I wonder if the ownership and/or management has changed.
