I currently work in Newark and am living (renting) an apartment in the Kearny area.
I'd like to upgrade to a townhouse or a small single family home within driving distance of downtown Newark (30 min commute give/take).
Anyone know of a safe, quiet town, with low-ish taxes, and townhomes in the $250k-350k range?

Except for the low-ish taxes, Nutley would be your town.
Lyndhurst has some as well, but not as many.
