For those of you that use the transit system (bus/rail), is there anyway to buy a combined rail/bus pass? Or do both have to be purchased separately? I always use transit while there, but I'm never there long enough to purchase a pass, and only use rail about 2x.

I'll be going throughout Essex, and possibly Morris (so 3-4 zones). Train would be from Newark Penn to NY Penn.

Thanks.

Yeah, I know about the zoning deal, and how it changes fares (hence why I said 3-4 zones [probably 4 to be on the safe side]) - train wouldn't be used for anything but Newark Penn-NY Penn.

Thanks, anyway.

I think it's still weird because that there is no such combined pass, atleast that i heard of. A card that can be swiped/ scanned for any transit directly funded from a bank account would be conveneint, i guess old ways are still prevalent.
