Positive role models for kids they are not....where oh where are the Michael Jordan's, Jerry Rice's, Mickey Mantle's
I say when they violate their contact..get rid of them..plenty of good talent out there waiting to be discovered
Don't know much about J. Rice personally, but Mick (drunk) and Jordan (punk) weren't great human beings themselves.....I wouldn't want my kids to be like either one of them.
You have to promise to take the female ones off the juice as well.

Another point... most woman didn't have the opportunity to start sports at an age that men (boys) did/do. That's changing! In my day...hang on while I push my walker to the side... sports were a thing we were offered as teenagers! And even at that is was softball, basketball or that stupid sport wear you had to wear that skimpy skirt! Now, young girls are starting sports..even competitive sports at a much younger age..give it time - 20 yrs from now, this thread will be giggled at!!!

We'll see. I wish I would have had daughters as well as sons......but I am also glad there are no 6 feet-plus, 300-plus pound teenage girls out there with my face. That would be truly scary........

This was my original point. There are soooooo many talented female athletes out there and they get zero recognition. There are plenty of athletes doing it the clean way that would just love to be "discovered. I'm tired of how all these pros act and take for granted their God given talent or maybe their God given wasn't good enough, so they cheat.
I've seen Jennie Finch strike out many baseball players and excellent ones at that. There are plenty of videos on it. You should check them out. I'm sure they're on You Tube.

I understand that; Jordan has never been a criminal or a gangsta, either imagined or real. He is, however, a nasty, mean guy (not to mention an inveterate womanizer). Having been a sportswriter and knowing some people who have played with him, that is the consensus. Again, he is not as bad on some levels as a lot of players from a lot of sports, but he is no role model either.
