newark should build charter schools or something like that in the same fashion as jersey city. there is no point to send children to millburn no matter how well these kids are doing academically. no race issue here. nobody in millburn will not sell his/her house because the buyers are blacks.
>I definitely think the students from Newark would have to meet certain academic criteria if they were to go to Millburn schools (If, of course, the whole moving Newark students to Millburn schools is at all true)
I grew up in Chatham and had a great experience. Most of the schools you mentioned have excellent academic and sports program, but what are your kids like? I'd try and look beyond the rankings and figure out what your kids need from a school system... where they will feel most comfortable and thrive. What are you kids interests? How academically motivated are they? Are their particular sports, music or other programs they would like to take advantage of? How well do they handle pressure?
