Does anyone know much about this area? I am looking to rent an affordable apartment in this area. Is this area safe? Also I have heard about a few flood zones in NJ and am not 100% sure which areas to stay away from. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Cedar Grove is a nice town, it's safe. I like Little Falls too. They're pretty safe from what I can tell. Don't know much about flooding though. Cedar Grove is high up, it's on the Watchung Ridge, so flooding shouldn't be a problem.

don't know much about it. I hear it's another decently sized italian-american community, but not to the extent of Cedar Grove. it's near Elmwood Park and Lodi (which has some flooding problems from what I understand). yeah, it looks like a pretty decent area. it's considered more in the southern part of bergen county, so it's probably more working class than the northern parts of the county. the profiles of towns here on city-data have tons of useful information. you can also go on weichert's website and get an idea of what the houses are like and price. weichert is good, it's a user-friendly site, well organized, and has good listings from other companies as well.

Little Falls, Passaic County's best kept secret. This is so called because of its scenic boulevards and 4 star confectioneries. You can get anything from Gauloises Rolling Tobacco to a refreshing black tea. I imagine if you living in an apartment building you wouldn't have to worry about flooding. Close to Hooters.
