It can be in a neighboring county, that's fine, but preferably about 20 minutes from Paramus. I want a hall because I want to cater IN the food, rather than have it at a typical wedding venue. A NICE place, no paneling on the walls. Somewhere pretty, but not more than 800 to rent for a Saturday night. Any great ideas? I REALLY need to have room for 100 people and a dance floor!! Thanks in advance for your suggestions!! Wedding is planned to be in September o9

That's a great question, there are so many wonderful venues. I married my first wife at the VFW in Lyndhurst, which was a long time ago but still a wonderful ceremony. I met my second wife at my first wedding, and we were married not long after at the American Legion in West Paterson which is a short ride from Paramus. And the Lodi Knights of Columbus, boy howdy, they have two for one hot dogs and two dollar pints of Coors Original on Tuesdays. I hope this helped.

I got married at the elk lodge in Weehawken, NJ. It overlooks the new york skyline and it's right by the river. It costs about 800ish or so to rent. I had the food catered in as well and they have big dance floor. I can show you pics of the place if you like. They also charge very inexpensive for the bar, linens, dinnerware, glass, waiters and all. They have parking for about 20 cars as well and you could take pics across the street by the Hudson River. It's becoming a very popular place to book around here so check them out.

Default VFW in Fairlawn

I had my wedding reception at the VFT in Fairlawn, beautiful area. The grounds are just as nice. They even have lovely chandeliers in the ceiling
