Hallelujah!!!!! I might be able to settle with Absolut rather than Banks now. The nastiness of each is just frightening.

Now if Redneckville could just attract some business the taxes could go down there too and I might be able to go Smirnoff.

I don't know why more businesses don't move out this way! They would cut their monthly over-head expense probably by 1/2! Especially with all the urban redevelopment money being offered - $3000 tax write off per employee? Millions in grant money for relocating? Makes no sense why they choose to stay in the Northeast and NYC.

You want more businesses to move out to Warren County. Do you want Warren County to look like Jersey City?

Of course not, but one professional type bulding in my town would be a Godsend. Get some doctors and dentists to rent some space. I'm not looking for more Walmarts and Targets. Right now the only businesses in the whole town are:

pizzeria
bait shop
liquor store
bank
gas station
barber shop

and yes there is only one of each.

Get more corporate HQs, you'll look like the somerset hills region instead of JC. I have a good friend who works for the real estate management division of the corporation we both work for and he says the #1 problem with part of Jersey (in terms of an HQ relo) is the roadways. Lehigh County PA is much more well connected.

Be careful what you wish for. You might get it.

Exactly. Once you get one or two Corporate HQs the rest will be quick to follow. Look back 15 years--do you think Parsippany was the corporate park it is today? It's a slippery slope.

I don't understand--if you don't like the rural area and want to live closer to businesses then why not move
