I move out when my lease ends in May. (moving from Lodi)

I been looking for a LONG time but it looks like Teaneck will be my new home. So hopefully all the pros beat up the cons about Teaneck from what I've heard on this site.

3 Bedroom 2 bath 345K really close to Holy Name Hospital (It's a little over my max of 300K but this was such a good deal when i saw it)

Thanks for all the help and ideas though, I'm glad I had this is my source.

PS, how's the Hawthorne Elementary school? any info? My daughter will most likely go there next year since it's the closest public school.

good move, and good luck.

it will be a little different way of life, but you'll still be fairly close to your old stomping grounds. so if you're ever feeling nostalgic, you can visit easily...

Yea i visited and roamed around the area, it's in a very nice area. It's off Lindburgh BLVD. It seems like a nicer version of Hackensack.

Default I am bias

Born and raised in Teaneck I have to say you made a good choice. The town has a few problems but offers alot of services. Location and public transit to NY is great. Take a stroll down Cedar Lane for ice cream or a walk around votte park. All of the elementary schools are good, things change alittle in middle school. Again, the schools offer alot (Honors, AP) you just have to take advantage. Do not take this the wrong way please! While I was growing up in Teaneck in the mid-80's alot of families from NY were moving to Teaneck. They felt, "We are in the suburbs, good schools, I do not have to be involved". Stay involved! That is why Teaneck is not as good of a town as it was in the 80's.
