I've received several calls before from "Card Services" and always let my AM pick up but today I wanted to see what kind of bull they were selling so I spoke with a live "OPERATOR" who said she could lower my interest rates on my CC. After telling her I would appreciate her offer throught the mail she fed me some bs about why she couldn't do that so I asked her for the phone number since I couldn't talk long and would call her back and of course she hung up on me. Please be careful out there and don't give out any personal info, especially in these rough times and cons going on.

This reminded me of a phone call that I received a few months ago. This guy claiming to be from my bank was calling because there seemed to be a problem w/ my CC and he wanted to confirm some information. He Kept saying "Your Bank" never mentioning the bank name, so after all his bs I asked him, ok, what's my bank name? he hanged up.

It's the same thing with e-mails sent from "your bank" needing to "verify information". NEVER DO THIS!!!!

I make it a habit to NEVER confirm or deny information when people call me. If they have a problem with me or my account I make them give me the info and I will call the customer service # thats on my bill. Only once have I ever gotten a REAL phone call telling me I have a problem that needs to be fixed.
