I think we should all stop paying taxes. If there is no money going into the system maybe then the government will take pause and stop this free for all. (I know this won't happen - just felt good to think maybe, just maybe we have some control)

With congress taking their scheduled raises - why wouldn't AIG and other banks spread the wealth - after all it's just money! Ours, our children and thier childrens money, but the pres and the rest of them are not focused on that right now. They are more concerned with global warming and want to get and spend all the money before we all boil to death in the rising waters and boiling sun. Sorry, its in the 40's again today folks - I'm not buying crazy, yet everyone else seems too. Question: Anyone ready for a Tea Party????

Bonuses ranged from $1K to $6.5M. Saying they have to give the bonuses to attract and keep the talent. I have a question, where are they going to go???

It's hush money. If there was an FBI pyramid most wanted list it would look like a civics class on the structure of the US government.

The gov't is expressing outrage and dressing down CEOs after giving bailout money to appease the anger of voters, not because they really feeling it.

AIG Bonuses Should Be Legally Blocked Obama Says

President Barack Obama told Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner to take all legal measures to block hefty bonuses awarded to employees of AIG , the insurance company that received up to $180 billion in bailout money, a White House adviser said Monday.

Exactly! It's not like there are a ton of more attractive opportunities out there.

Ordinarily, I am totally opposed to government dictating pay/compensation. But these companies are being bailed out with taxpayer money. In hindsight, this should have been stipluated. Don't like the strings, AIG, don't take the money.

Agreed---capitalism allowed 'bankruptcy rules and regulations --- thats their first help line. the foolish liberals thinks they are smart and so full of hate for Bush that they want to give their liberal politicians an opportunity.

History shows the democrats has made the crisis even deeper and longer ..... Obama is following his predecessor trails also. He had a choice...but he is surrounded by liberals fools too.
