Hello All!

I live in Morris County and am in the process of looking for a large dumpster to rent to dispose of construction debris, landscaping leftovers and overall household "junk."

I was wondering if anyone has any good recommendations or words of advice with this endeavour.

Who would you recommend?
How much does it cost?
Is there any limit on what you can and cannot throw in there?
Do I need permission from the town before I rent one of these?

Thanks for the help!!!

Grinnell out of Lafayette..usually around 500 to 750 depending on the size box you want.
I would call your twp and see if they require a permit..knowing mt lakes, I'm sure they do..lol.

Since you seem to have intimate knowledge on the subject, would you mind giving me information other than your phone number in 4 posts?

ie
Cost
What I can throw away in there

Thanks

I don't know if they're available in NJ, but down here in GA, there's a new service called the "Bagster", where you buy a large, reinforced nylon 3 cubic yard "bag" from Home Depot, set it within a certain distance of where a truck can reach it, and throw your stuff in. The total cost for the bag, pickup and disposal is around $100. With dump fees being higher in NJ than they are here, I'd expect that price to be higher in NJ, but it'll still be cheaper than a dumpster, and won't tear up your lawn or driveway getting on/off the truck.

Some towns have a day where you could put your stuff out by the curb and they will pick it up. I'm not sure they will pick up constuction debris. Some towns have a place where you could bring in the yard debris and household junk, (may only be on certain days). I would definately make a call and see what they'll pick up.

Pretty much anything as long as it's not "hazardous"...i.e. paint, batteries, oil, etc. Best to ask the compnay you are looking to hire what they will except.. they all have different criteria based on where they dump the stuff! You know you have Parsippany dump right down the road.... maybe rent a little dump truck for the day and take it in yourself for free?
