couple looking for an apt in nj (rent, how much)

hello everyone,
looking for a place somewhere around jersey city, since it is closer to the place of work that is around wtc, but the spouce dont want to live in jsq as does not seem like a safe nebhiourhood, can any one suggest a place for an indian couple, that is easy acess to public transportation, would prefer train, but if good bus services, fine with that also, have to move by 1st week of may, suggestions are appreciated.

it would depend on how much travel time you are willing to deal with
and what you are looking to spend in rent

if you don't mind 45 minutes to an 1 hour commute you
can find a lot of nice areas along the northeast corridor train line
iselin,avenal,colonia and rahway all have an indian population

thanks for the reply, in usally case 45-1 hours is fine, but my wife has 3 days in a week 12 hours shift, so then it gets really long, any other suggestions

does your wife also work in nyc ?

yes she does, and we have an offer for an apt in secacuse area, does any one would have info about that, about the safety, commuting towards nyc, and nebhiourhood for a indian couple.

<EDIT> - secaucus is a nice area- not very diverse though. I think North Bergen may work for you since this is a more diverse area with a strong represented indian community. North bergen has access to many forms of transportation to NYC.
