Been working on family history with a cousin.
Can you ask B&C where the hell this place is...seems some of my ancestors came from there and to keep it Jersey the decendents all ended up in Jersey city..

Gilmerton, Liberton, Midlothian, Scotland

I believe they are all parts of Edinburgh. At least Midlothian is.. that's where B&C's dad lives. I'll check with the B&C when she gets in from work : ))

I don't think so but I'll check : )) Her grandmothers maiden name was same as her grandfathers name .. she swears no relation
I know she has:
Ingram - was her great grannies maiden name and all of their kids received Ingram as their middle name. Said story - she fell out of a window in her early 30's!
Cairns - name shared by both granny (maiden) and grand dad
Smith (what celtic bloodline doesn't have this name in the family tree?)

It happens! My grandmother's maiden name was the same as my grandfathers name. No relation at all.

oer - This is my stepdaughter's step-dad's (mother has remarried) surname. He is from Sunderland - which is not too far from the borders.
