I'm looking for a home in bergen count (Bergenfield and Teaneck). Can anyone recommend a good realtor (exclusive buyers agent) suitable for first time home buyer?
My target price range is up to 250K and i'm in the process of getting a pre-approval. Thanks in advance

in either of those two towns...

Hi Home_seeker,

You are a little light for those two towns. While there are a few beat-up old homes that come on in this price range, they usually are in fair condition and will not qualify for financing. If you could spend up to $275,000 to $300,000, you would have more viable options.

I would stay on the sidelines and do a little more saving. Rent a small apartment for another year or so. The market isn't going anywhere, it will be here when you get back. A 20% down payment is also a good idea, so you need about $55,000 to $60,000.

At this point, i have to give it a try. If i'm not able to find a place for the price range, i'll take that as a no. But I still need some recommendation of a buyers agent. if anyone had a great experience with a realtor in bergen county area, please let me know thier info?
