Ohh, I LOVE the PB eggs. I was gone from my house for a few days, and when I returned, I was craving them tremendously. Low and behold, I found some in my fridge. It was pure excitement.
and of course you can't eat JUST one!
With that said, those are some of my favorite Easter candies. I'm not picky though. I also like the snickers eggs, and occasionally, chocolate rabbits.
There are some new Easter candies that I'll be trying come Monday...when they've all gone on sale .
I've never heard of the poppers. What are they?
Gertrude Hawke sells these "mini" candies.... the ones I had were these little pretzel bits dipped in yummy chocolate. VERY dangerous...they are so small you think..oh, these are not so bad...then you eat 27....

EEE, I'm a 5 minute drive from the Gertrude Hawk factory and 2nd store. The 2nds store is great. Things maybe slightly mis-shaped but the price is almost half off the retail price. I can spend $40 and have enough chocolate for me for about 4 or 5 weeks.
Ah Mike, but the problem is not the misshaped chocolate, the problem is HOW misshaped the chocolate makes ME!
You know, I have to say when I was a kid I would not eat my chocolate bunny. I felt "bad" for it. So I put it in the freezer. I had like 4 freaking bunnies in the freezer for YEARS until my Mom went balistic and threw them out. My family knew, you bought me a chocolate EGG or CROSS only. LOL
Oh - the Pereguina (sp?) egg with the "treat" inside...remember those????
And yeah, I remember Grandma had a "tray" set up with that green "grass" and those assorted candies mentioned in an earlier post. The one addition.... chocolate from LEE SYMS in Jersey City...is that still there? That was SOOOOOOOOO good.
E, I don't go to Hawk's very often. It's not that I can't afford it financially---I can't afford it weight wise.
I haven't been to JC since I was a kid so I don't remember LEE SYMS. The section of JC I lived in is a disaster area. My daughter is in her early 30's and I forbide her to go there.
I love stale peeps! You have to take the peeps home, stab open the package and let them ripen before eating.
