Hi,
Can someone advice choosing between the Lafayette village rental on grand street ,the society hill and pavonia rentals in terms of access to transportation.shopping/grocery and in general neighborhood and safety.
How is the area around Lincoln park?
We have to move to jersey city because my husband will be working there. We live in DC suburbs. We have a dog too.I am looking for a place where we can take her for good long walks.
Thanks

what precisely do you mean by "pavonia rentals" ? are you talking about the general area near Pavonia/Newport PATH station, or did you mean a particular building ?
What is your budget ? You may have better options than all of the above for that price.

For that budget, you can live anywhere in Jersey City. The nicest areas in Jersey City are downtown: around Grove St and Pavonia Newport.

I like Society Hill / Droyer's Point if you have 1-2 cars, use them to get to other parts of NJ a lot, or like being accessible to the city without really feeling like you're in the city. It feels more suburban to me than anything else in the city. However, public transportation from there is lacking, and while it's nice to stroll around the neighborhoods there's not really anywhere to go on foot.
If you like quick public access around the city or to Manhattan, enjoy city life on the nicer side, and like walking to get somewhere rather than just to walk, P/N would be my pick.
Lafayette Village is sort-of halfway in-between, by which I mean it lacks either strength. It's not a bad place at all but I don't feel it has the pull of either of the first options and thus it would be my 3rd pick of the 3.
