Are there any beaches in either Forked River or Bayville? Any information would be great. Thanks

Berkeley Island Park in Bayville has a beach area in Bayville on the bay not ocean.

Berkeley Island is a nice little park with beach, crabbing/fishing pier , picnic area, restrooms and playground.

Just google Berkeley Island Park

Next to Bayville. . .Beachwood and Ocean Gate also have beaches. Ocean Gate season badge is about $10, daily $2. Beachwood also has a playground for little kids. Both are river/bay beaches.

There are plenty of bay beaches. Most people who live in Bayville will go to the beach in Seaside or at Island Beach State Park - it's not too far, just a ride up Rt. 9 or one exit on the Parkway, then down Rt. 37.

Bay beaches are really nice, however, especially for small children and those who are into boating.

Forked River questions:

Is there any kind of walkable town center? Like a few shops, food places, somewhere to stroll, maybe the post office? Or is everything on strip malls on outskirts of town?

Also: Does any kind of public transportation to NYC pass through town?

Thanks.
