I reserved a unit on the 5th floor. I was torn between that, and a higher unit with a view, but I opted for the terrace. This building is amazing, and from the sounds of it, the rooftop will be full of people...I'd better bring my own chair, lol. But seriously...an outdoor pool, running track, gym, parking garage, doorman, and a shuttle. I reserved a unit before the walls were even put up. Was a bit skeptical at first, because it seemed too good to be true, but so far so good. Just waiting for the contracts to be ready. I know occupancy isn't scheduled until late this year, but good things come to those who wait. Let's get more good people to reserve, and this place could be the gem of UC.

What unit did you reserve? Based on the fact that you stated you have a balcony you must have reserved either 01, 02, 05, 06 or one of the apartments in the opposite side of the building. I reserved the 03 unit and the apartments on that side of the building does not have a terrace....but that's all I could afford in terms of thinking about my current salary and what the property taxes would be in 5 years. And let's start to get a list of what people that reserved actually do so we can see how this builing is looking.
I reserved unit 503, I am 28, and I am an accountant.
which unit do you guys think has the best floorplan? Obviously, I like the 01 line.
01 Line is the best. It's a 3 bedroom beast. The layout just works. Some I wasn't really feeling but I guess this was the best design they can do to get 10 apartments on each floor. One thing I was saying about the 01 and and some other units that have the open kitchen is if I were getting one of those units...I would talk to the developer about putting an island in the kitchen to give it a little bit more seperation from the rest of the open area. I think it would be worth some extra money.
So I guess for you it was worth it to have the view rather than the balacony? I know the 5th floor unit has a balcony.
Yeah, I am putting an island in. We also took the upgrade package. Well worth the $4k or whatever it was.
I am also toying with the idea of putting in overhead HVAC with the duct work exposed. I like that look and on 15, the ceilings are 9 1/2 foot, so there is room. Gotta see how that will work out.
My GF is working on a rendering of the place in 3D, which I will post shortly. It will be fully furnished, walls painted, etc
It is my understanding that a few more units are under contract, bringing total with contracts to just over 20. I am so excited for the new place.
