Your husband's snoring may be killing him slowly as well: people with serious snoring problems are at higher risk for heart attacks and other problems, something to do with interruption of their sleep cycles I think. Some good friends of mine had this issue, and the husband had some surgery to correct the sleep apnea, and it was resolved completely. So please consider this.

Several years ago we bought the Tempurpedic pillow from Brookstone. It actually did cut down on my husband's snoring. However, losing 20 lbs. helped even more. He no longer snores much at all.

Wink Any old pillow will do

imo: any old pillow will do as long as you hold it tight enough and long enough over his face. The snoring will eventually stop.

I don't think that a pillow will help much.

If your husband is tired all the time and takes a lot of naps but remains tired, it's a good bet he's got sleep apnea. I did/do and the prescription is to tell your doctor he'll refer you to a sleep specialist, and then your husband will spend a night in a sleep clinic so they can measure just how bad it is. Then you get the CPAP. The night in the clinic is important partly so they know how much pressure to set the CPAP for.

tell him to go on a diet.

dont let him snore the night away keeping you awake. during my honeymoon i was stuck in a hurricane. i slept for 5 nights in a room with about 800 people. there were snoring bastards all over the place. i said that if i heard one of them say how great they were sleeping i would kill them. snorers are evil.
