Taking my road test soon in Wayne, Nj ? Anyone have any experience there ? Tips ? Thanks
Is Wayne a closed course ? When I took mine (in Lodi), they had me drive around a closed course at about 3mph. It was ridiculously easy. As long as you signal when you turn, and stop at the stop signs, you will pass (I passed even though I completely botched the parallel parking)
I'd say practice parallel parking, but don't sweat it too much if it doesn't go that well on the day.
Yes, it's a closed course. Listen to elford1973--signal at every turn and come to a complete (not a rolling) stop at stop signs.
A couple of additional things:
-buckle up before you turn the engine
-make sure you have all your paperwork ready, in hand, when you first get there to check in...otherwise, they will give your major attitude if only just to psych you out.
-when you are picking out your shirt and fixing your hair that morning, just remember...it's gonna be immortalized in your driver's license photo!
Do what Peter Griffin did, show up drunk for the photo, that way when you are driving drunk, you will look like your driver's license photo and the cop will say "I guess this is how he always looks"
I took mine test in Wayne in 1998. I was really easy so don't worry. I believe you could do not so well on 1 or 2 things and still pass. Just like elflord I didn't do so good on the parallel parking and still passed.
One more advise... check your mirrors before turning on the car.
I am such a punk when it comes to driving and i took my test in Newark... and I passed... my advice is to just take a deep breath and take your time the test is very short Its so short that I thought I must have failed since it was over so fast..but I Passed :-) Good Luck!
