Hi!

Comtemplating buying a home in East Brunswick, wondering what the commute is like to Rahway. How is the drive in the morning going up route 18, onto Turnpike? An alternative route is driving through one of the Sayreville roads onto GSP or route 35. If the traffic is bad on rte 18 or TPK, this seems like a viable option, but I worry the local traffic would be just as bad. Any feedback is most greatly appreciated!!!

Don't know what its like in the morning but thinking you might be better off going up NJ18 to US1 or else as you mention across the flats of Sayreville and US9/NJ35 to Rawtown.
Those racists at Googlestein Maps estimate EB to Rah via
NJ 18 / US 1 at 15.8 mi, 29 mins
using the crank (NJTP), GSP & NJ-27 as 18.3 mi, 26 mins
going thru the flats to the GSP & NJ27 as 18 mi, 35 mins.

I personally hate driving or patronizing the NJ YankMyCrank and you have to figure toll booth delays on top, and TOLLS. I think my choice would be NJ18 to US1 to NJ35.
Something real close to this: from:Cranbury Rd to:40.515104,-74.375725 to:Rahway, NJ - Google Maps
