Reliving a terrible day | News Photos - NJ.com

"One day a teacher told him not to drink his drink in class and he went off on her," said Max Giglio, an incoming senior at Rutherford High School. "And when she told him to go to the principal, he just gets up and goes, like he doesn't care."

It got worse. According to a New Jersey law enforcement official who asked not to be identified because he was divulging juvenile records, Mr. Zarate fought with a Rutherford police officer last year.

Wow can he smile like that? We need to allow torture of criminals otherwise they have no fear what so ever! This guy doesn't care that he is locked up in jail. Just torture him everyday for the rest of his life and show everyone so they know what happens

It really shows how much they had them dead to rights when the defense got one of the expert witnesses for the prosecution to admit that it's possible he didn't assist with the killing - and they still convicted him.

The defense put reasonable doubt there.

Not saying Zarate's didn't do it... just saying the defense got something there.
