Chit Chat Diner in Hackensack is open and I had the chance to go. Great place. Cute decor, traditional diner menu with some more creative choices. The food was GREAT and the deserts were AWESOME. Service was attentive and nice. Kids LOVED it. Prices are not cheap but reasonable IMO.

Forget schlepping to Sonic and go here...I'm sure it's better anyway. LOL

it's were the Triboro diner was (GROSS PLACE...glad its gone) on Essex.
