I live in canada, and therefore i dont know much thing about America
It says that 'state taxes' are excluded if you buy stuff from the duty free shop.
then, let say, this thing costs $75 in a normal store, and the state tax for this stuff is $25. Does it mean that this thing would only cost $50 at the duty free?

No, taxes are usually not included in the listed price. "This thing" would cost you $75, as opposed to $100 at a regular store.

I went to a Duty free shop on the canadian border recently. Seemed like booze and cigerates were the only things that had big savings
