You would have to use the new park & ride station located at the northwest end of Montclair State University. The station you mentioned above is at the southeast side of campus and for Montclair residents only IIRC.

There's a station in Little Falls, but I heard it may be closing. It's a short ride from the apt complexes mentioned. thanks spincycle, I couldn't recall the name.

The one that is slated to close is called Great Notch (near the GNFD).

They are pushing riders to use the new and largely vacant park & ride complex less than a mile southeast at MSU.

Default Short List

Although my plans to move from Durham, NC back to NJ have been stalled a bit.... (liquidity and cost of moving issues)..they continue to exist. That said, Bloomfield, based on web research and comments here, and other research, is one of the places that remain on my short list of targets. Single, so schools aren't an issue..... Access to NYC and what I get for my (for now, rental) dollar are peak issues.

Default train from Bloomfield to NYC

Boy do I need help. I will be going to NYC from Bloomfield for a few months and CANNOT find anyplace to park the car in order to get the train in Bloomfield or any of the neighboring towns.
Now I'm reading about the jitney in Bloomfield and would appreciate any advise from those who use it. I need to be at the NYC building at 8:30 AM and it's about a 15 minute walk from Penn Station. I live on Pettit Street off of Broughton Ave, can you tell me where to go to get a shuttle? I want to take a direct train to NY also.
Thank you fo any help you can provide.
