Hey...which NJT station is closest to Ridgefield Park? Failing that, if someone from Ridgefield Park wanted to meet me somewhere with the stipulation being that I'd have to be close to a train stop (on any line in NJ or the Port Jervis) where (what town near what station) would it make sense to meet? I'm not too familiar with the specific geography of North Jersey although I have some idea of where things are.

Thanks.

north hackensack or essex street station(s) in hackensack.(these are stops along the pascack valley line) you can take quite a few buses from the essex street station or nearby hackensack bus terminal on river road to ridgefield park. if i remember correctly the 165, 167 and/or 168 njt bus connects with the train. but don't completely take my word 4 it- call 1800 772 2222 the nj transit hotline and ask the call center staff your question, or log onto www. nj transit.com and click on the icon travel itinerary. you can find the best, shortest, most convienient way to get anywhere on public trans in the state using that!
