Hi everyone,

Moved here in December... was wondering if anyone knows any good doctors in the Toms River/Central NJ area?

Thanks so much, L

I can tell you who to stay away from.....Fisher Family Medical on Fisher Blvd in Toms River.
Their practice is a joke in that I feel they see how many patients they can push through in a day. The doctors there spend very little time with you and push you out with a perscription. Plan to wait for ever to be called from the waiting room and then another long time in the room. Also the lady who handles billing is a joke. She is hardly there and when you do get ahold of her she is nasty. I was a patient for almost 8 years and honestly do not know why I didn't change sooner. I paid my $30 copay because they were in network with Horizon blue Cross but was balanced billed for another $30 a year later because they said what I went to see my primary for was not covered. Funny, I was seeing them for 8 years for the same exact thing..... and this year it is not covered? Billing was nasty and unaccomodating.

Thompson Chiropractic and Sports Rehabilitation off of Hooper and Rt. 37 in Toms River. Besides what their name implies, they also have acupuncture, massages, allergy elimination & hormone-balancing services (NAET).

I have to completely disagree with this. I went here for over a decade and the service was wonderful as was my Doctor.

If they seemed rushed it's because they handle a large volume of patients, and it is a very small practice.

I would recommend this place to anyone, as for all the ailments I've had, they always seemed to know just how to help.

I've no clue who you guys are talking about but I do see an issue with what you mentioned above. Having a large volume of patient is no excuse for not giving enough time to a patient and making them wait forever in the waiting room. What is the point of making appointments when the patient's time cannot be respected? And if they indeed have a large volume of patients, why not just hire more staff?
