i couldnt care less about the meadowlands and any other stadiums. i dont even know what xanadu is. your target is very broad but your complains seem primarily limited to insignificant stuff. are you in that line or work or some kind of sports nut?

Sounds to me that the OP was a worker who was laid off from the Xanadu project......

guys, the OP is a high school kid, and all of his posts reflect his age and maturity level.

if your teenage son/daughter complained about mostly insignificant stuff at the dinner table, wouldn't you just roll your eyes and say, "sure, whatever"?

i know i would, and that's how i'm going to treat this post.

Xanadu .... was someone on drugs when they thought of that thing? Realistically, it's in the worst location ever. Think about it. Right next to the stadium, with all the stadiums around it .. what are they going to do on Sunday with the games going on? Major traffic and it would look ugly. People will destroy the turnpike plus the football games, and it's going to be hell. There's no room in NJ. We have no money. There's toxic waste around the meadowlands anyway .... that's why xanadu is being delayed. It's simple, they don't have any money. Plus, they found human feces in the construction site ... but they think someone planted it to sabotage the mall. It's crazy.

Nobody wants it here except for the big companies, the town, and the mayor. No private investors. The Nets are getting moved so you know IZOD is gonna get knocked down. That's another problem I have with NJ. We have no sports teams except for the Devils. Who wants two basketball teams in NY. First of all, The Garden sells out every game, even though the Knicks are terrible. To me, that means there is no way in hell that the Nets can compete with the Garden. Brooklyn is so damn far from Manhattan. You have to cross the Brooklyn Bridge or take the train, which with the traffic, it will be an eternity. Plus, no one in BK wants this thing. If we get a new governor, he better fix this ****hole we have for a state
if you don't like it, then you can leave. there's a bridge and two tunnels into manhattan, three bridges to staten island, several bridges that cross the delaware river into Pennsylvania and Delaware, dozens of roads that hit the northern border into New York, and a ferry that takes you to Lewes, Delaware from Cape May. we have plenty of ways to get out of this state if you don't like it, take your pick. don't complain about how bad the state is, because it's out of your control.

I may be a tad older then some of you. I remember when NJ had no sports and no news. The Nets and Devils came along later. NJ still has no football team as far as I am concerned. If you play in NJ, pay taxes in NJ and own homes in NJ then by golly you are a NJ team. But the Giants refuse to be labled with that dreaded NJ title. I thought that sense of not wanting to be associated with NJ has died off. Rot in hell Giants.

NJ did not have their own news till not too long ago. NJN is kinda new. Yes NJ was always stuck with NY this and NY on the news yet most Jersians hate New Yorkers and could care less about NY news.

When I first escaped NJ about 14 years ago I bad mouthed it. But as time passes you feel a sense of how NJ has shapped you into what you are today. I would never ever go back to NJ to live but I look forward to visiting family who are too stupid and stuborn to leave.

Whatever you feel about it you can never deny the memories you left behind. And I have plenty, of course they were better days back then. I sure hope to get back in about September.

You have hit the nail right on the head. Hope those whiners would take heed to your priceless piece of info as to which route to take as they contemplate on their next move out of Jersey.

Look at it this way: we're not California, we don't have to pay $10 to get here on a toll, cigarettes aren't $10, a can of beer isn't $5, etc. The only thing I'm really pissed about is AC losing money. They had a thing on Your Money on NJ12 and all these casinos are basically running lowkey attack ads on Jersey Shore Resort Casinos in Connecticut, PA and NY and it's killing business. I understand it's a free market and all but AC is the motherland of gambling this side of the Mississippi. Screw those bunch of jerks. I'd rather go to AC than CT or Yonkers anyday, but people are buying their attack ads hook line and sinker

Then both the Jets and Giants should be considered NJ teams.

When the Jets were looking at bailing out of NJ and building a new stadium in NY, one of the things that convinced them to stay in NJ was the NJSEA leasing them land for a new training facility/corporate office. In the past, they practiced at Hofstra on Long Island, and most of the players lived in NY, as they spent much more time at Hofstra than at Giants Stadium. With their new practice facility now open in Florham Park, many of the players have bought homes in NJ. The corporate HQ has moved from 57th Street in Manhattan to Florham Park, so most of the team brass are NJ residents now as well. The company I worked for before moving to GA built the training facility, and it's quite an impressive building.

The Giants are also building a training facility next to the new stadium, and many of their players will be living in NJ, and paying taxes in NJ.

Couldn't you just move to South Jersey if you hate the ugliness of the Turnpike corridor? It's a little less densely-populated, too. The taxes suck everywhere, however.

Move to Texas, you'll be even more miserable and realize how much nicer it is there.
