We will be moving to Mountainside NJ at the end of August. Can anyone tell me the easist/quickest way to get there from Brooklyn? We get lost every time we go. We would like to take the 78, but which exit is closests? We need to get to Summit Road, Thanks!

Here's one way:
from: brooklyn ny to: Summit Rd, Mountainside, NJ 07092 - Google Maps

Here's another way

from:brooklyn ny to:40.708491,-74.311867 to:Summit Rd, Mountainside, NJ 07092 - Google Maps

Also, do you mean once or every day?
Going through SI entails a big toll, the other way is toll free going west to NJ.

You're from out west, aren't you? My Californian sister-in-law refers to highways as you do.

No one in the East refers to highways as "the number" as in "the 78." It's just 78 or I-78. (Don't pronounce the dash either!)

However, the tunnel, the bridge, the beltway, etc. are all acceptable.

Welcome to the New Jersey Metropolis. Soon, you may sound like one of us!
