You know what? I'm actually hoping the place would lighten up GSP's most busiest days (Fri-Sat). These two days allowed the mall to make more than the national average, but, I wouldn't mind if Westfield had another competition on its block (as all the other competition around it doesn't seem to kill their sells because of GSP's "more-to-offer"). The parking lot, on the other hand, is a monstrosity on those two days. I'm still kind of baffled what young people do inside the parking garage or in the food court (search Youtube for that one. That's really crazy.. O.O). When the holidays roll in every year, forget about it.

But of course, Xanadu doesn't have a lot of shopping to offer as it's not really a shopping mall. It's a hybird mall so it's not centered on just shopping. If you want "real" shopping, you don't go to Xanadu. Xanadu is more like entertainment first, shopping second type of place. (I can probably compare it almost to Atlantic City's mall. That place made me depressed except for their fountain. Maybe, the hotels in Las Vegas make better comparisons since AC's mall promotes shopping/dining only? At least, it might be a better place to put the young crowd there than trying to block one part of the mall.)

As for Paramus Park, I think it'll stay the same. We locals love to go there, ya' know? Heck, even those popular Jonas Bros. decided to go there when they came back to visit (smart choice despite those screaming fan girls appearing anyways). When Tom Felton came to GSP last month, just look at all those fans. (And it must've been worse when Twilight cast came to town. >.<) Now that I think about it, Xanadu is suppose to have some kind of place where they can host movie premieres but I wouldn't know if celebrities would go there (to promote themselves)?

I thought Xanadu progress was officially halted?

I still shudder every time I drive by that place- how someone could make something so ugly is beyond me.

Xanadu will never open. If it does, it will open with minimum stores..then eventually go bankrupt.

I heard they're going to charge for regular parking there? I thought I read about it in the papers somewhere last year.

The opening date has been pushed back what 3-4 times now?

Yeah...it is hideous. I'm surprised there was no state or city intervention on an eye sore that frightening looking.

why dont they simply lower leases on the stores? I am sure there are enough entreprenurs around to open stores if they are offered at a reasonable price
