Don't worry about other offer. I have been(and going) through it. One time I lost and another time I won (I had to pull back on this one because of some other issue).
Make your best offer and forget it.
yeah, it just annoys me that everytime i indicate interest i get some reason from them why i should be worried. i emailed her and she called me back saying that she was just relaying what the other realtor said. i have a weird relationship with my realtor because she is also a listing agent on a couple of houses i made offers on. im trying to use that to my advantage but i have to make sure to keep her on her toes.
Depending on what the questions you have about those towns are, their hands might be tied. "Steering" is unethical, and that limits what they can and can't offer in terms of neighborhood information.
No, not that at all (but interesting that that's where your mind went, lol). Where I previously lived in Bergen County, a few of the towns around (Wyckoff was one) got called on realtors telling black people that homes were sold and then white people sent in with the same qualifications were subsequently shown the property.
I don't care much who my neighbors are. I've lived in lily-white land and I've lived in ethnically diverse areas and I prefer the latter. Plus, I've been working in Manhattan for 30 years. I do care about the number of break-ins mostly because I wouldn't want to have to fear for the safety of my pets while I'm at work. And I know some places in Monmouth County flood and the FEMA maps have just been redrawn, but how much flooding? Does it happen every year, every ten years, and is it Katrina-style or just streets covered with water after a storm, which wouldn't faze me living somewhat near the sea?
Is there public transportation nearby--of course they will say yes, but as I've mentioned, they will not tell the truth (like yes there's a train station but no you can't park there).
As I said, I've had to start researching some of this one my own...and that's how I found city-data.com and then try to sort out factual information from people's fears and opinions.
yeah, all this unemployment, bankruptcy and foreclosure is quickly turning this into a sellers market.
im not particularly worried. problem is i have my wife who gets excited whenever i mention making offers and she wants me to offer way more than i plan to and she wants the negotiation to end the next day. she did give me a 6 month deadline so i think i should be able to work with that.
Oh yeah then there is MEIK modern eat in kitchen that hasn't been updated since 1950..who comes up with these phrases, clue to the real estate world us consumers are no longer dumb about these things. While you sit in cozy offices( cozy -extremely small) think of better ways to sell properties.
How is it that there is one born every minute, until it comes to selling your home?
