Anyone live or lived there? How's the neighborhood? I was told that the further west you go from JFK Boulevard East the more ghetto and dangerous it gets.

How's the area on and near the Blvd? how's the commute to NYC?

I used to live there, about 15 years ago. Guttenberg is very small, about four blocks across. The area by the Galaxy and Summit House and Versailles, right on Boulevard East, is very safe and the commute to midtown is FANTASTIC. Maybe 20 minutes to the Port Authority even during rush hour, or you are very close to the ferry.

I felt very safe everywhere from Boulevard East to Bergenline. Between Bergenline and Kennedy is a little more iffy but I don't think of it as dangerous. I still go to that neighborhood fairly often and I don't find that it has changed much.

Maybe for soft people like you if you have to ask a question like that you should stay in the suburbs. Hudson county hates losers like you anyway so do us all a favor and stay away from the real people like us.
