Unfortunately don't have the time to do as much of my own research as I would like because the move is coming much sooner than anticipated, who are the reputable nationwide moving companies (will be moving from the southeast to northeast)?

I would need a do-all company (pack, ship and unpack). I have seen a few companies mentioned here and there. NorthAmerican is one that continues to pop up.

Also, any guesstimates on a 2 bedroom (1200 sq ft) apt move from GA to NJ would run me?

Lately, what do I need to watch out for in looking at companies? Scams? Fees after the move?

Thanks in advance!

We used Mayflower for our in NJ move. Not the cheapest quote we got, but they did everything right. They were based in Edison, NJ, I can get the number if you need it.

You can contact Chatham Express and ask for Pete or Craig. Family owned for over 90 years.

Tell them Mark from the bank recommended you.

You will be charged by weight, so yes, there could be fees after the move. The mover should come in and give you an estimate. Buy insurance. We moved last year from NJ to GA and the cost was $4k. We packed ourselves. Good luck!
