Hello Everyone,
I'm considering moving to Pennsylvania...Easton or Philadelphia area. I want to keep my current job in New Jersey...at least at first. I'd like to know what the commute is like from those areas on Amtrak to Newark Penn Station.
Thank you in advance for your help.
I live in Yardley, a lot of people commute into the city. Honestly I don't know how they do it, but it is common. It's about an hour.
People in Yardley drive to Trenton and catch the Northeast Corridor there. There is no way it's an hour though. I'd say 1.75 hours each way, door to door.
Your best bet would be to find a town in PA (or western NJ) that is close to a NJ Transit station. Best of luck - the rail infrastructure wasn't developed with the people living in PA who commute to Newark/NYC in mind!

I meant I don't know how they could stand the commute. The express train in an hour, not including which train station you take (Trenton or Hamilton) and how far away you are from your office.
