Is it behind Annie Sez? That area is nice too. Most of the town is on the other side of 35.

It doesnt have that cozy family atmosphere probably because 35 runs through it and lots of traffic.

Have you tried Middletown?

Hope everything goes well. I asked in another thread (before I saw this one) what made you decide on LS?
What part of town is the home? Near the Red Bank border?

Well, wanted to be somewhere in that whole area (RB,FH,LS,Shrewsbury) and the house in LS is our best option for the houses available right now on the market. After lowering the house we sold quite a bit our price range dropped which knocked out the RB house we originally liked. Also, we'd have to send to private school if we lived in RB, so that doesn't fit into our plan of downsizing/saving money. The LS house is 1.5 miles from RB, walking distance to LS's little downtown, good schools, neighborhood for our kids, close to beaches, etc.... Basically all the criteria we were looking for.
I'm not obsessed with school scores so to answer your question from the other thread that is not what made us choose LS on the whole but from what we've researched the schools are very good in LS and RBR seems good to. Our kids are 3 and 1 so high school isn't really a big deal yet anyway.

Our kids go to LS schools and we have been very happy with everything here. We came from out of state and had no problem making friends and becoming part of the community. From our home, we can walk to 2 post offices, 2 big grocery stores, library, pharmacies, tons of restaurants. Honestly, my only complaint would be the amount of traffic here for such a relatively small residential area. Taxes are high but the safe community and schools, and proximity to the beach ( 10 min ) are more than worth it.
Keep looking and good luck!
Hi - We are looking to be in the exact area as you mentioned you are in -- would you mind giving us a few streets nearby where you live so we can narrow it down?? We are hoping to list our home and move by the summer so we're just really getting started. LOVE the area! Thank you!! :-)

I lived in Red Bank and moved to Little Silver when I had children. Great community with great schools.
