If you liked JFK, I'd just go there. Just use a doctor that your friends used. Any doctor will love you for scheduling a c-section. Doctors love c-sections. They are easy and convenient for them. JFK is a level II NICU so they can handle most problems. If there is a problem they cannot handle, they will transport the baby. Of course that depends on your definition of "high risk." Heck - I was a "high risk" delivery and Brunswick Hills wanted me to have a c-section. I went elsewhere for a 2nd opinion. If you expect your baby to have problems, then it makes sense to be in a hospital with a level III NICU. If YOU have an issue which requires a c-section, it doesn't mean your baby is going to have a problem and need a level III NICU. Obviously, I am commenting without really knowing your situation but I guess I'm just curious why you don't just use a doctor that your friends used. If you are looking for a perinatologist (someone who specializes in high risk pregnancies), then you might want to reword your title. Brunswick Hills are regular ob/gyns.
Thanks for ur advice.I am wondering which one to choose among JFK and St.peters hospitals as well as the obgyn.I have a nuerological genetic issue where I couldnot go for a normal delivery. So I have to go through C-Section.As far as I know Baby won't be having any problem. And I feel Brunswick Hills is lil far from where I live.So I am really worried that which obgyn to pick. The one's my friends had gone with were all Indians and I don't want to go there. So if u know anyone else please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
