Hello,

I will be travelling/staying for a few months for work in Princeton. Where do young professionals (young single mid to late twneties) go for night life or social activities in Princeton or in nearby towns?

Thanks.

There isn't much night life in Princeton. There is 1 brewery in town and it's Triumph. Go to NYC for night life. There is a bus which will take you from Palmer Square to Port Authority Bus Terminal. http://www.coachusa.com/suburban/ss....d=476681110649

Or you can take the train.

Some people go to Big Fish in Marketfair after work on Fridays too.

Yeah, there is not really that much to do in Princeton.

Agreed. Nightlife is not a strong-point of Princeton.

As lwnj said, the one brewery in town is Triumph (http://www.triumphbrew.com/splash.html - broken link) along Nassau. luckyshoes mentioned Big Fish which is an option for those working in Carnegie Center out on Route 1. There are a couple of places in Princeton Forrestal Village (http://www.princetonforrestalvillage.com/village-portal/ - broken link) which is also along Route 1 closer to South Brunswick.

Most young people living in the area will either go to NYC for the clubs and restaurants or the recent grads will sometimes head up to New Brunswick for Harvest Moon (micro-brewery), Old Man Rafferty's (http://www.oldmanraffertys.com/index.php/pg=index.html - broken link), and Steakhouse 85 (more upscale and for J&J'ers who have an expense account). There is also Daryl which is a wine bar located inside the Heldrich Hotel.

New Brunswick has better restaurants and better nightlife and the Rutgers students keep it lively.

In the restaurant, absolutely. I stopped going there because it was so inefficient.

At the bar, as long as you are a regular, or get known as a regular, they keep the drinks coming.

I walked in there - one time - to have dinner, and was ignored for 10 mins. I walked out. I will never set foot in there again.
