Macy's has decent furniture at pretty good prices, especially when they have a sale. I think they have showrooms in east brunswick and north brunswick

how about for modern furniture? i think ikea has modern stuff but im looking for higher end stuff. i went to raymour and flanigan, macys furniture, ashleys outlets and ashleys regular store. we saw things we liked here and there but it would be nice to have a store filled with modern stuff and not traditional stuff.

btw, my wife went to tafts this past week (in or near albany) and found a couch we saw in macys furniture today and it was 1/3 the price ($1250 compared to $3500). when she pointed that out i said we should just walk out now.

I love furniture!! This is a passion of mine. All the fine wood grains, textures, patterns, carvings, I dream of furniture at night. I see in my dreams all the burls and distressed woods, all the walnut, hickory, rosewood and mohogney. I wish I went into funiture making. Theodore Alexander is very affordable and beautiful furniture with top quality. Good luck and have fun this is such a great thing to go look at furniture. DOnt limit yourself to the cheap places, heirloom furniture can last a lifetime. Its better than diamonds to me!!

the problem is that it seems other than ikea, modern furniture stores are specialty things and are very expensive. im not looking to get ripped off on the deal, i want to pay typical prices for decent furniture.

my wife found this laflat store online and got very excited. here is their site:

Wood Bedrooms : Modern furniture | Contemporary furniture | Modern Bedroom | NY New York Manhattan | NJ New Jersey | Boston

the problem is that they seem to have tons of complaints against them so i wouldnt shop there. the bbb site says they may be out of business.

Reviews of Laflat Group Inc Rahway, 07065
BBB Review of LaFlat in Rahway, NJ

anyway, the stuff on their site is the type of stuff we are looking for and their prices seemed alright.
