Fair Lawn Dental is great. They have everyone you might need on staff. Dentist, endodontist, periodontist. I just moved away and I never thought this his something I'd ever say, but I am going to miss my dentist.
I had a root-canal 2 years ago and my crown keeps falling out. First time I was able to save the crown, but he still charged by insurance a lot to put it back in.
Now I just noticed it fell out again, but I must have swallowed it.
Is this common or is this a bad dentist? Are there no warranties with crowns? They are quite expensive even with insurance.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Crowns suck. They fall off all the time. You will eventually need an implant. No comparison. The root canals fail over time. The crown creates pressure on the underlying tooth, which eventually will develop stress cracks and in general will deteriorate. Implants are expensive, but the way to go. About $2,000 for one complete implant (post and crown). Extraction and bone graft require about 6 months healing time before the post can be drilled in the jaw bone. Then the post needs another close to 6 months to allow bone to grow around it. Then the crown can be placed. PIA, but much better result in the end.

The office is beautiful and they have a great hygienist named Dina who was amazing with my two kids (they have literally been driving me crazy all week to go back for another cleaning). Their phone number is 201-944-1969 and website is
