Recently married, looking to start a family and thinking to move from NYC to NJ to have more space. Drove around Ridgewood, Westwood, Englewood Cliffs and we liked that there were town centers with restaurants, theaters, shops and people walking about. Moving from NYC we would still like to be in a vibrant lively area, especially one with young couples, new families. What do you think of the towns we visited? Are there others that should be on the list? We are looking for a 3+BR, 2BA in the $500K-$650K range.

Englewood Cliffs is really nice but I think very expensive.

Fort Lee is a good town. Nice downtown area and many young people and families. Bit pricey, but then Bergen County is pricey.

Look for areas near the George Washington Bridge. You can take that to the Deegan and be there in a flash. I would say Hackensack and Ridgefield Park.
