Commuting from Wyckoff to NYC (Ridgewood, Ramsey: house, to buy, schools)

Looking to move to Wyckoff, NJ. We like the town but not sure how the commute is going to be to NYC midtown, given that driving into the city is not an option as parking in the city would be too expensive. So its either the bus or train I guess. What would be the commute time by bus and train?
Given that Wyckoff does not have a train station, wondering which station do commuters use in nearby towns, and the parking situation in those statons.

Check out Coach USA and put in your town. The bus goes through Wyckoff only during Rush Hour times and from 2-9pm from PA Bus terminal
some wyckoff residents drive down rt. 208 each morning to the hawthorne train station and take the train from there. not sure how the parking situation is, though.
you might also want to consider the plauderville, delawanna, and lyndhurst stations, which all offer free daily parking. they're a longer drive from wyckoff, but the train ride itself will be shorter than from hawthorne. it might be a nice compromise for you.
your commute time may vary considerably depending where your office is located. if you work on the west side of midtown near penn station or the port authority bus terminal, you might be able to make it in about 80 minutes via train or bus. but if your office is on the east side of midtown, add time for the crosstown shuttle and/or walking.
lots of variables here. the commute from north jersey is easiest if you work in midtown west or around the world trade center site. midtown east is generally more accessible from westchester and connecticut, although the commute from nj is certainly doable.
I live one block from Wyckoff ave. I use the midland park and ride (you can get a non resident parking permit at the Midland police station) or some days I drive to the NJ turnpike park and ride (it is faster than the local buses in the area).
The No. 752 bus runs through Wyckoff from Oakland and will drop you off at the Ridgewood train station. The bus is free if you have a monthly train pass.
Thanks everyone for the comments / info. Actually we are looking at multiple towns to buy a house - Wyckoff, Ramsey, Montvale and Glen Rock are high on the list. Would appreciate your comments comparing these towns wrt
1. Time to commute to midtown (east)
2. Schools
3. For the same money (say 700k) where would you get a better house, more space, larger lot etc
4. Overall living experience
