As a person who was born and raised in NJ and has sadly seen my beloved state become a bastion of failed leftist tax and spend policies and seen and been a part of the mass exodus, I ask that everyone think long and hard about who they vote for on Tuesday. If you're saying to yourself, "I have to vote for Corzine simply because he has a (D) after his name, then I ask you if you're happy how things are now, because that's all you'll get, more of the same. Please, please vote family and state first before party loyalty.

Amen!!

Jon Corzine promised 4 years ago to lower property taxes and put an end to business as usual in Trenton.

What he has given us since then are the highest prioperty taxes in the Nation, blatant political corruption and cronyism, soaring unemployment, forcing taxpayers and businesses to leave NJ in droves.

...and right before the election this bearded bufoon tips his hand and lets the cat out of the bag that the tolls are DEFINITELY going up in 2012,,,and according to the NY Times, Corzine may STILL lease the Turnpike. This is outrageous!

Wake up people...why anyone would vote for Jon Corzine is beyond me???

As a lifelong NJ resident I plan on voting against this hypocritical, arrogant, liar, let's take our State back!

Hey folks. I was born in NJ and left in 2005. I have never looked back. While I miss the state, I was tired of being taxed to death. What is even more amazing is over the years, my state turned lefty-socialist. When I was a kid and wanted something, my father, a retired truck driver told me, "Good, get a job and you can have it .." NJ now, is let the government take your money and tell you how to live. Then again, while I was not enthralled about McCain, the country as a whole went socialist with Obama. Truth me told, I have been disappointed too many times with how my ex fellow New Jerseyans voted in the past. I am quite confident the state will do the wrong thing, AGAIN, and voted for the socialist, tax-em Democratic party.

Amen ! Not only do I love NJ but I love America even more.

That's why I together with millions warned people about voting for George W. Bush back in 2000.

We had a prosperous, peaceful, record breaking economy for the last 8 years under Clinton.
8 straight years of a balance budget. 6 straight years of Defecit reduction ending with a $700 Billion deficit.

Then some luny people voted for so called " family values" & against their pocket book.

8 years later under this Bush- the SAME people are crying, pleading, angry- YOU HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME BUT YOURSELF !

To america's credit, MORE AMERICANS still voted for Gore but the GOP appointed SC crowned Bush!

LEARN from history! Listen to your own advice.

When people start listening to " high school dropouts" like Rush Limbaugh & Joe the Plumber for Financial & Political advise- its the start of the dumbing of america!

There a reason that the TWO MOST AFFLUENT & MOST EDUCATED Ethnic groups in america VOTED SOLIDLY 3 to 1 every year for Democrats ! Jewish & Asians.

There's a reason americans with College degrees gave Obama their overwhelming vote.

Chris Christie reminds me of Rush Limbaugh. How can they lead america when they can't even take care of their weight

Can you give the facts (not the Corzine lies and propaganda) of why you equate Chris Christie to Rush Limbaugh??? This is the 1st time I have ever heard this...puzzling???

I don't follow how Corzine is like Clinton, or for that matter, how Chris Christie is like GWB (or Rush)

To fix NJ's economic problems requires making some serious reforms (to the pension system, to education, etc) There's only so much Corzine can do given that his support base is a large part of the problem.

I personally find it a little disappointing that Christie is afraid to say what he stands for -- but then, it's very hard to explain why the pension system needs to be fixed to the average voter (last time I discussed it here, I was accused of being an "economics professor" -- that's the last thing a politician running for office needs).

The economic problems NJ faces have time horizons of a few decades, and the average voter has an attention span of 5 minutes or so. If the pension system were fixed today, the guy in office 10 years from now would take credit for it (whereas the guy who fixed it would cop plenty of grief)

Judging from recent voting history, I'm sure that the voters of NJ will blow this one again. All a politician has to do these days is promise that he'll raise taxes and screw everyone over and he'll get voted in.

Of course he'll say it like: "I promise to expand health insurance, increase funding for education, protect family leave, provide superior public services, pass responsible and more restrictive gun laws cause it makes people feel good even if it doesn't affect the criminala one iota, all while providing historic tax relief and balancing the budget!"

And his lackey will say: "Oh yes your excellency, I'm sure they'll buy that. After all, that's public education for you! And 40 to 50 % of the people of NJ are dependent on the state one way or another.

And the NJ voter will say: "Oh yes, Gov'nor, that $screwing felt so good, please do it again! But make it quick, as I have to watch American Idol, and a bunch of reality shows and send text messages and Facebook and Twitter ...."

Personally, there's really not much of a choice here: Corzine, Christie and Dagget?! That's like the previous presidential choice: Obama or McCain! Eithe way, we're toast.

I just have to survive the next 4 years then I'm outa here. Now, if I can figure out a way to become an illegal alien, life would be pretty good.

Ummm...not defending Bush or anything...but did you forget about 9/11?? Clinton had 8 peaceful years and his biggest problem was deciding where to stick his cigar (sorry, couldn't resist). I can't stand Bush but you can't blame him for everything. Also, after "8 years of record breaking economy" the only way it could go was down. Economy can't grow indefinitely.
