I hear a lot of people saying that if Corzine wins, they are done with NJ and are moving to PA. I'm sure some of these are exaggerations, but a lot of people have moved out of NJ in the past few years. Do you think a Corzine win will really push a lot more people out the door? Or do you think these people are just bluffing and will shut up and pay their higher taxes after the election is over?

I recall when this guy Ex-Mayor David Dinkins was running to be the 1st black Mayor of NYC against Rudy Giuliani in the 1990's.. Many republican "white" supporters of Rudy declared that they would leave NYC if Dinkins won. Well Dinkins won & became NYC's 1st black mayor. Results: There was NO exodus of these people from NYC.
Same with Barack Obama. Many right wing Republican supporters promised to move out of america if Obama won. He is now President & these same characters are still here.

I do hope people who Blame their Governor on their "personal Failures &Frustration" in life do leave NJ. If you think there is something better out there- MOVE & GET OUT!

If your kids are in Public School & believe PA or any state is better than NJ public schools- MOVE OUT!

If you think you can find better, safer suburban towns & with lots of educated neighbors around you, MOVE OUT !

If you will spend your days & nights WHINING & CRYING about Taxes in NJ- YES- Please MOVE OUT!

New Jersey will survive without you. And when one day, NJ is back on top- Don't you beg to come back.

New Jersey is surely not for everyone.

Note: Folks, we are on a national recession not seen in over 70 years. Once wealthy & prosperous states like California, NJ,NY,MA are ALL HURTING bad.
Some of you somehow treat this recession like any other recession. Some of you have this false impression that things should immediately get better.

You know what's the SAD PART in all this ? The People who SCREAM the loudest about the State of our Economy today are the SAME PEOPLE who Voted for the Man who was responsible for this. George Bush !

You voted blindly for 8 years for Bush. Voted blindly for Pro-Corporate, No Regulation Republicans in congress to control our country for 12 of the last 14 years- NOW YOU MOAN & CRY ???
Now this Obama has been President for 9 months- You want him to CLEAN YOUR MESS???

Name us ONE state who is thriving & prosperous in this national economy. Name us Republican or Democratic Governors across America who is enjoying a prosperous economy.

Get an Education. Use your brain. Otherwise, NJ is no longer for you.

If they move to Scranton or Wilkes-Barre, then welcome! If they all move to new housing developments, then STAY OUT!

What does George Bush have to do with insane taxes and tons of corruption? When 35% of pension checks are mailed out of state, can we blame Bush for that? When people hold 4, 5, and even 6 state jobs, can Bush be blamed for that too? When several mayors are arrested for selling body parts and knockoff gucci bags, can we blame that on Bush? I'm trying to understand how NJ's problems are a result of Bush, but I just don't get it. By the way, how's that stimulus working out for NJ? See tons of new "shovel-ready" projects around town? YES WE CAN!!!

I'm still waiting for the Hollywood left to leave the USA, after they claimed they would move if Bush won in 2000.

Larry King made a comment last month on "angry people" in today's Economy. I thought it was perfect & made so much sense. He said,

" You know folks, whats Ironic about this whole Economic mess that this country is in right now? The people who are Angry the most, the people who keep cursing the current President,
are Ironically the same people who Voted for the Person who was largely responsible for this Whole Mess that we are in- they all voted for George Bush. Somone should remind these people that Bush inherited close to $ 1 trillion in surplus before he became President. He & his people decided to do massive deregulation, made very bad decisions, had full control of Congress & let us all holding the bag. The next time you hear someone complaining or rather blaming the current President for this economy- Ask them who they voted for in 2000 & 2004."

Love2golf, so did you vote for Bush ? MPBS- did you vote for Bush too ?

Talking about waste of taxpayers dollars.

How do you feel about the $ 11 Billion dollars every single month that we spent & continue to spend in Nation Building of an Arab country ?

How do you feel about Bush friend & appointee, Republican Cox of SEC as being the main culprit of the historic Subprime mess that caused all this- called looking the other way to complete deregulation. This coming from Non-partisan commission on the investigation of the RE collapse.

When Bill Clinton left office, NJ was booming. America was booming. 8 long years of prosperity. When Bush left office, the entire nation is a mess.
And you want to blame higher taxes & a politicians arrested for corruption for all this?

Move to PA, there is less corruption there. There are also less jobs, less paying .

The waste of NJ cannot & will never match the WASTE created by your idol George W. Bush.

If you are going to blame politicians, don't play selective memory.

Did you guys proudly vote for the best president in history? George W. Bush

Yes I did vote for Bush.

NJ's problems are NJ's. Has nothing to do with Bush.

BTW. Clinton had a major hand with subprime, just before he left office.

Someone metioned "Yes We CAN!" who happens to be on your side of the arguement. An Obama reference in a thread about NJ problems. President Obama has done alot to try and clean this mess up. We are in a Great Recession and not a Great Depression if anyone hasn't noticed. Healthcare for profit is about to be dealt a great blow.. We have a President who isn't above the act of defending his own positions and actions. Our President is trying so hard not to be an "uppity communist" and some people still complain about him doing anything at all (good or bad). It's good that all those folks who say "get over it" can eat their BS as kids post polls online about when the President will be assasinated.

Full Disclosure: I voted for Pres. Bush twice. Lets get that out of the way. (I'm leaving for a Halloween party. So will have to be brief)

My quick two cents.

I spend $ 25,000 every year on attending advance planning, forecasting conferences from the very best across the country. Its how I continue to learn, develop my company & practice, and creat wealth for my clients.

Background Tidbit: Politically, the Financial Advisor industry today is probably leaning 55% republican, 45% democrat. Once upon a time, it was about 70% GOP, 30% DEM. But thru the years, it has moved to the left politically. Clinton gave the rebirth of dems in the financial industry while George W. Bush's major blunders caused another rapid shift of some advisors to the democratic side. Many veteran advisors predict that our industry will very likely be a 50/50 industry in within the next 4 years.
But the real story is among the younger generation of financial advisors just entering the industry. The below 30 yrs old crowd. This young generation are much more educated ( about 85& of them have a college degree plus going for their CFP, CHFC or other major designations) & much more focused on just targeting the huge senior market. In the older generation, the 50 yr old & above, only about 50% had college degrees.

The other major difference among these young college educated generation of advisors is their political leanings. A clear majority of them are much democratic leaning, much positive about Bill Clinton's track record & very positive about Pres. Obama & the democratic congress.

This is a major trend that is expected to continue due in part to the view by many younger advisors that democrats are willing to tackle & find solutions on major senior issues like healthcare, medicare, long term planning & medicaid, reverse mortgages & retirement fund issues, tax advantage annuties for seniors. While the GOP is viewed as just wanting to leave things are they are & not willing to tacke Major financial & health problems facing the baby boomer generation.

Point here. Major money to the GOP has always come from the financial industry. Many House & Senate candidates have relied on this to offset the dems. Our industry, just like the Physicians & Nursing industry is rapidly moving to the dems.

Our party cannot keep on going back to Tax Cuts as its only solution. Why? 95% of Financial advisors understand that taxes will & continue to go Up. There is no other way but up. As our Seniors hit retirement, the younger generation CANNOT & WILL NOT be able to support our seniors. The tax base of younger americans is Far short of the money that will be need to keep states across the country including NJ from operating effectively.

Politicians can no longer avoid this issue. We are on our way to Tax rates in this country not seen in the last 40 years. No politician regardless of political party can Stop that. Its the only way to survive & maintain this country. Wall Street & its stockbrokers doesn't want to let people know that.

P.S. If you think a 38% tax bracket is high? Try 60%, 70% - we are headed back to tax brackets back 40-50 years ago. The baby boomer generation is MASSIVE. There is no money to support their needs.

Got to go.
