I mean really though. In the summertime when I go down to Seaside Heights, you can feel the breeze when you turn off that exit on the Parkway. I could not imagine living there fall, wintertime or even the spring and honestly, over there has to be way colder than it is up here in North Jersey. If over here is 38, I imagine over there is 10 with the chill coming from the ocean.
I know there's a bunch of crazy people out there that are dressed up right now like it's not cold, wearing no jacket asking for some swine flu too.

It's warmer at the ocean in the winter, not colder. The ocean keeps the air warm and the precipitation from freezing. It's still COLD, but when it snows in northern Jersey or more inland, it's only raining there most of the time.
It's only really colder right on Ocean Ave when the wind chill goes right through you. A mile or so inland and it's not bad. I find the Summers to be cooler but the Fall to be warmer because the ocean is still warm maybe remnant of the gulf stream. Winter is also warmer except immediately on ocean but Spring is cooler until ocean warms up.

water is a temperature moderator. Chill factor is sometimes overwhelming. If I could, I'd live at the shore.

Swine flu is caused by a virus. How one is dressed or the temperature have nothing to do with it.
