hello--

we are thining of relocating to another town in NJ(further south in Ocean County)---

I keep pulling up the school reports--but they all start to blur together after awhile. I look at teh obvious--class size, spending per pupil, etc(im focusing mainly on k-5 now)

anyone have any tips on how to read b/t the lines on these reports??

On the HS level--I tend to look at SATs and %of kids that go onto a 4 year school. We live in Brick now--and it is a dismal 40% of kids that go to a 4 year school---i find that depressing...and a clear indicator of the level of achievement. Are there other numbers that I should be looking at as well?

thanks!!

Default School reports

I'm in the process of moving to NJ with my 3rd grader. I looked most carefully at the "student performance indicators" which show how many kids (by school, by district and by state) are performing below, at and above grade level based on the statewide tests.
