nj_info, if you live in Edison, you should look into a township-operated jitney service called Edison Light Transit. It serves many of the neighborhoods, apartments, and condos in nearby portions of Edison and Piscataway and the Edison Train Station. I think from the farthest points it's a 10 minute ride and the cost is maybe $1 (tickets available at the Edison Station Dunkin Donuts). The schedule posted on the Township website is out of date, but I'm sure a call or email to the Town Hall will get you accurate information.

I just called the parking people for this station and they said it is a ten year wait. Are there any public parking lots around that are cost effective?

You may park along Kilmer Rd or Central Av next to Train Station.

Edison Hollow South, 5 min walk to Edison Train, Annual meeting was talk about to "lease out" the parking lot for commuters, for more info, you may give Danny a call at 908 635-2037 (cell) a call; he is Board of Trustee and should know the current status.

It could be around $60 a month. On the other hand, you may see if you can find resident at Edison Hollow South Edison Hollow South like Jose 732 979-9100 (cell) to see if they would rent out their parking spot for you during day time. Each unit has one designate parking spot and unlimited public parking in the center (unlabelled). So, if they rent out their "labelled" spot to you, your car will NOT be towed, and they may go to work and does not need the spot during day time ... or at least they can park in the unlabel parking.

Warning: if you park at the unlabel spots, there is onsite super, your car may be towed at your own expense ...

I know some people parked at Asian Food Center huge parking lots in that plaza which is only 5 minute walk to Edison Train Station. And on the way home, they bought some fresh fruits or vegetable home, technically speaking, they are customers, so they seem to be ok.

Default Edison train parking?

Is it possible to get a parking spot around 1 pm in Edison daily parking or will the lot be full? I want to take the kids in for a show.
