Hi

we r first time home buyers....our requirement

1. townhome minimum 2 bedroom and 2 bath and not so old(5-8 years old is ok)

2. good schools since i have a kid entering kindergarden next fall.

3.door to door commute to exchange place jersey city should be 1 hr and less

4. Our budget is 350k maximum.

We moved recently from Boston and currently renting in Secaucus NJ. Can you please tell which areas should we look at ?

Anywhere in North Jersey satisfies that requirement... pretty much all of Bergen and Passaic county are within an hour of Jersey City with traffic and most of the schools will be in the top 1/2 of the state which places them well above national norms.

Clinton twp has a couple of nice places for townhomes within your budget. Great school district, 51 mins to jersey city (although east on 78 is a parking lot at times).
