Anyone remember the Arnold's bake-thrift shop in Paramus? I think it's where Boston Market now is. It was great, everything was cheap and fresh. Someone mentioned Charles Chips, we used to get them at Arnold's. And we'd eat them while drinking C&C Cola (which may not be from NJ, but was definitely popular here, and I remember a prominent billboard on the Parkway for it, Clifton area I think...)

Reading about home deliveries of eggs and milk - does anyone remember the Dugan Man? they delivered baked goods - the best cupcakes, ever. They had an outlet store on Broad Street in Clifton. We used to trucks with fresh produce come down the streets in Paterson and people would buy fresh vegetables and fruit from the guy. Digging back in my memory banks, but I also remember a guy who used to come and sharpen knives...

I wish Calico Kitchen was still there. They had the absolute best macaroni and cheese.
I wish I could get a recipe for it. Better yet I wish it was still open. I she yet to find max and cheese as good and potato pancakes, frank and beans. Ugh how I miss that place wish I could get the recipe. Thanks for remembering it

NEVER locking your front door.

All the neighborhood kids outside...riding bikes, etc. Now all the kids are playing video games, on the computer, etc.
